Chery Auto Philippines has announced the appointment of Froilan Dytianquin as the company’s new managing director.

Dytianquin is taking his new role with an extensive experience on his resume. He started his automotive career in 1992 with Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC). After 26 years with the company, Dytianquin retired as First Vice President.
However, Dytianquin returned to the industry to lead the Sales and Marketing Department of Geely Philippines as general manager in 2019. He was a key part in Geely’s fast-growing expansion in the country spearheaded by its subcompact crossover entry, the Coolray.
Now, the new Chery Auto Philippines managing director will drive the brand to greater heights with the Tiggo Pro crossovers; Tiggo 2 Pro, Tiggo 5X Pro, Tiggo 7 Pro, and Tiggo 8 Pro.

He will also champion the brand’s hybridized lineup, with the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid as its latest addition. Thanks to the electrified powertrain, Chery claims the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid can provide lower carbon emissions by 14 percent and deliver improved fuel efficiency by 13 percent.
“I plan to duplicate the same story here with Chery. Under my leadership, I aim to focus on managing dealer engagement, rapid network expansion, proper product engagement, and promotions,” said Dytianquin.
Dytianquin will work around the Tiggo crossovers
Dytianquin will also strengthen the brand’s extensive aftersales programs. It includes a 10-year or 1,000,000 km engine warranty, a five-year or 150,000 km general vehicle warranty, free three-year preventive maintenance service (PMS), and free three-year roadside assistance.
“Tonight, Chery Auto Philippines begins a new era of change. We are embarking on a serious path in keeping the needs of our past, present, and future customers at the core of everything we do. With him [Dytianquin] taking the helm of the Chery brand as its leader, I am confident Chery Auto Philippines is in good hands,” said United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI) Chairman Rommel L. Sytin.
