It is scheduled for delivery by early Q1 of 2021.

When the Land Rover Defender was reintroduced in 2019, it seems like the SUV had no problem in finding its rightful place in the market. The growing demand for the Defender is what pushed Jaguar’s sole authorized distributor in the country, Coventry Motors Corporation (CMC), to add more options to offer in the SUV.

CMC announced that it will be bringing in the Defender D240 in the country in the first quarter of 2021. The D240 is a state-of-the-art twin-turbocharged diesel engine capable of making 237 hp and 430 Nm of torque. The PH-spec Defender will be using an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The current engine option of the Defender offered in the local market is a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that uses a semi-hybrid motor. With the addition of the D240 engine, the Land Rover Defender will provide extraordinary all-terrain capabilities with the help of its class-leading All-Wheel Drive system.

One of the best additions for the PH-spec 2021 Land Rover Defender is the availability of the body option called the Defender 90. The 3-door Defender 90 comes with a shorter wheelbase rated at 2,587mm, while the 5-door Defender 110 comes with a longer wheelbase rated at 3,022mm.

CMC is excited to share this new chapter for the Defender in the Philippines. The British car company is offering a total of four design options for the Defender, namely the Urban, Country, Adventure, and Explorer. Interested customers may now pre-order both the Defender 90 and 110 D240 at All British Cars showroom in EDSA Greenhills or at BGC Boutique Showroom in 5th Avenue cor. 24th Street.

“We are thrilled to share this much-awaited development. The Defender was well received in the Philippine market,” said Chris Ward, president of Coventry Motors Corp.
