GAC Motor Philippines has its sights set on reaching more customers with the announcement of opening nine new dealerships this year.
GAC Motor is opening nine new dealerships soon
During the launch of the GAC Empow and GS8, GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head Jun Cajayon said that the company will be opening new dealerships in E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, Manila Bay, Quezon Ave., Lipa City, Cainta, Makati, BGC, Batangas, and Cagayan De Oro. All of these are said to be inaugurated in mid-2023.
Upon completion, the nine new dealerships will be joining the Chinese automaker’s current dealership network, which includes GAC Motor Alabang, GAC Motor Bacoor, GAC Motor Davao, GAC Motor Pampanga, GAC Motor Pasig, and GAC Motor Tarlac.
GAC Empow
The upcoming dealerships will help expand the reach of GAC Motor Philippines’ reworked 5-car lineup consisting of the GS3, GS4, GN6, Empow, and GS8. This means that the GAC GA4 and GN8 will no longer be part of the company’s lineup moving forward.
In case you missed it, the new GAC Empow is the company’s entry into the compact sedan segment, coming with an outright sporty appeal inside and out. But it is not all for show as the new model is claimed to offer impressive driving performance. Cajayon said that the Empow can go from zero to 100 km/h in 6.95 seconds.
GAC GS8
Meanwhile, the all-new GAC GS8 is now in its second generation form. Despite the heavy SUV styling, the GS8 is a midsize crossover as it is underpinned by the brand’s GPMA-L unibody platform. With that being said, the 7-seater vehicle should provide good ride comfort and handling.
All of these are part of GAC Motor Philippines’ campaign for rapid expansion under the new distributorship of Astara Philippines. Looking at the record-setting 297 percent year-over-year sales growth of Peugeot Philippines in 2022, one can say that GAC Motor Philippines is now in good hands.
