The Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) is showcasing its crossover models at its Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) booth with the Uni-T and Uni-K crossovers.
Uni-T
The two crossovers are part of the brand’s Uni Series, which aims to provide more upscale models to the market. From the styling alone guided by Changan’s signature design philosophy Vision-V, MIAS spectators can tell right away that the Uni-T and Uni-K can deliver a more premium driving experience.
Flaunting a design that looks straight out of a science-fiction film, the Uni-T is the smaller crossover between the two. The Uni-T also features sporty aesthetics thanks to its sharp character lines, swept-back wind design, quad-exhaust setup, and aggressive-looking 19-inch wheels.
The Uni crossovers possess appealing styling
Powering this vehicle is a 1.5-liter Blue Core turbocharged gasoline engine good for 176 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. The power unit is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). To help adapt to various road conditions, drives modes such as Normal, Eco, and Sport are made available.
Meanwhile, the Uni-K joins the midsize crossover segment. In comparison to the Uni-T, the bigger crossover comes with more laid-back yet elegant aesthetics. It comes with features such as 21-inch alloys, a panoramic sunroof, and a 10.3-inch head unit with a 12-speaker Sony sound system.
Uni-K
Under the hood is a larger 2.0-liter Blue Core turbocharged gasoline engine capable of churning out 229 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque. It uses an 8-speed shift-by-wire automatic gearbox to send power to all four wheels via a 4WD system (with 2WD, Auto, and 4WD Lock).
Both crossovers are capable of Level 2 autonomous driving, coming with advanced driver assist system functions including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Blind Spot Detection Warning (BSDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKAS), and Lane Change Assist (LCA), among others.
The Uni Series aims to provide more upscale offerings
Available for indent orders, the Uni-T and Uni-K are offered at Php 1,679,000 and Php 2,719,000, respectively.
Apart from the two Uni Series models, eventgoers can also check out other Changan models, namely the Alsvin, CS35 Plus, and CS55 Plus.
“Our participation in MIAS represents our full commitment to shape the local mobility landscape through people movers that go beyond our collective vision of vigor, vitality, and sustainability for the country’s automotive industry,” said CMPI President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.
“We look forward to bringing Changan’s lifestyle vehicles, and more importantly, the values of the Changan V, closer to Filipino motorists, to have them enjoy more comfortable and fulfilling journeys, the Changan way,” added Perez-Agudo.
