The Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) announced that a portion of the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) will be closed next week for preventive maintenance works. This is to ensure that the roads remain safe, providing traversing motorists with more convenient travels.
CAVITEX will undergo preventive maintenance works in September
From September 6 to 9, 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the outermost lane of the CAVITEX Las Piñas Bridge Cavite-bound will be closed to traffic. And from September 10 to 17, 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the third lane of CAVITEX Las Piñas Bridge will be closed to traffic.
With that being said, the toll road company is advising Cavite and Las Piñas-bound motorists to use the innermost lanes to avoid the lane closure. A counterflow lane will also be opened during rush hours to serve as an alternate route, making traffic in the area more manageable during the preventive maintenance works.
For faster travel, motorists are encouraged to top up their Easytrip RFID accounts so they can avoid long queues on cash lanes. Quick-time reloading is also available on various online platforms including BDO Pay and GCash. Through these platforms, you can reload your RFID account with only a few clicks on your smartphone even on the road.
The preventive maintenance works will provide safer travels
As for motorists who prefer using the cash lanes, it would be handy to keep in mind that CAVITEX implemented new toll rates earlier this year. This way, they can prepare the proper amount ahead of time, reducing travel time amid the upcoming maintenance works. The new toll rates are as follows: Php 33 for Class 1, Php 67 for Class 2, and Php 100 for Class 3.
The maintenance work is just one of the many efforts CAVITEX is implementing to improve its services. Recently, the toll road company opened the CAVITEX C5 Link Flyover, providing better access to and from the cities of Pasay, Parañaque, and Taguig.
