Car dealerships in NCR Plus back in action under MECQ

If you really need to have your car serviced, you can do so now.

Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal were put under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from March 29 to April 11 due to the sudden surge of new COVID-19 cases. The said places were classified as the NCR Plus bubble.

As a result, car brands within the NCR Plus bubble had to cease the operations for their dealerships in line with the guidelines set by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Car owners who had their PMS fall during the ECQ can now go to their respective dealerships

However, as of April 12, 2021, the IATF has declared that the NCR Plus bubble is now under the less stringent modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ). As such dealerships including their showrooms and service centers are open once again. This mirrors the pattern that we’ve experienced during last year’s set of lockdowns where businesses have begun operating albeit closely following health and safety protocols. Most also have reopened with skeleton crews.

Here are the car brands that have opened their respective dealerships again:

  • Toyota Motor Philippines
  • Mitsubishi Motors Philippines
  • Lexus Manila
  • Isuzu Philippines
  • Kia Motors Philippines
  • Volkswagen Philippines
  • Maxus Philippines
  • Subaru Philippines
  • Honda Cars Philippines

To reiterate, these brands have posted on their social media pages explicitly stating that their dealerships within the NCR Plus bubble are now open and ready to receive customers.

These reopened establishments are encouraging individuals to book an appointment prior to their visit. And of course, one should also make sure to be wearing a face mask and face shield as mandated by the IAFT since last year.

Showrooms have reopened as well

For more details on the dealerships’ business hours, as well as booking for an appointment, please visit your choice of car brand’s official Facebook page, or their official website.

If some brands weren’t included on the list above, it is because some are yet to formally announce their reopening. Rest assured, we’ll be updating this article as more car brands post their announcements.
