Astara Philippines, the official distributor of Peugeot and GAC Motor vehicles in the country, is making huge changes in its executive department with the appointment of three individuals, namely Franz Decloedt, Michael John del Pillar, and Ryan Bermudez.
Franz Decloedt
Franz Decloedt is appointed as Astara Philippines’ new Marketing Director. With more than 20 years of marketing leadership experience, he is responsible for driving strategic marketing direction and brand-building efforts for both the company’s auto brands.
Meanwhile, Michael John “MJ” del Pillar is appointed as the new Sales Director for Peugeot Philippines. He takes office with a 25-year experience in sales and marketing gained from his previous roles with several automotive companies.

Last but not least, GAC Motor Philippines has a new Sales Director with Ryan Bermudez. He is said to be in charge of directing all sales planning and strategies for the growth of the Chinese automaker in the country.
“I am thrilled to welcome Franz, MJ, and Ryan to Astara Philippines as we advance our growth plans in the market,” said Astara Philippines Managing Director Raoul Picello.
“Being seasoned leaders with proven track records in their respective fields, they each bring valuable experience that will help accelerate our momentum for Peugeot and GAC Motor through impactful marketing and sales campaigns,” added Picello.

Astara Philippines is looking to continue the momentum this year for Peugeot following a successful 2022 that saw a 285-percent year-over-year growth in retail sales. The French automaker is offering the 2008, 3008, and 5008 crossover, as well as the Traveller MPV.
GAC Motor aims to improve the sales of its lineup under Astara Philippines including the newest additions with the Empow sedan and all-new GS8. Apart from the model lineup, the company is also targeting to open nine dealerships this 2023, allowing the brand to reach more customers nationwide.
