Dodge is giving its current lineup a proper send-off with the Dodge 'Last Call' performance festival happening on March 20.
The final Dodge Last Call model is just around the corner
One of the highlights of the event will be the introduction of the automaker's final 2023 Last Call special edition model. It will be the seventh and final offering of the brand’s Last Call series that focuses on its Challenger and Charger muscle cars. The third model in Dodge’s lineup, the Durango SUV, is set to end production in 2023.
The series was launched by the first Last Call model, the Challenger Shakedown, last August 2022. This was followed by the Charger Super Bee, Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger, Charger King Daytona, and Challenger Black Ghost.
Dodge will be ending the production of its internal combustion engine (ICE) in favor of electric vehicles (EVs). The Charger nameplate will still remain in the brand’s portfolio but it will discontinue the use of HEMI engine-powered forms.
The Dodge Challenger Shakedown
The American automaker already gave us a glimpse of its future electric lineup with the Charger Daytona SRT Concept last August 2022. It still sports a similar design to the current model, which is perfect for those who aren’t ready for the brand’s EV transition. This will be celebrated at the upcoming festival.
“The Dodge ‘Last Call’ event will be a celebration of Dodge performance,” said Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis.
“While the ‘Last Call’ special-edition model we will reveal at Las Vegas and the electrified Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept represent different performance eras for our brand, both are linked by a commitment to delivering the Brotherhood of Muscle a vehicle that drives like a Dodge, looks like a Dodge, and sounds like Dodge.”
“No matter the era, Dodge will always be about muscle, attitude, and performance, and that’s what this event will celebrate.”
The Dodge “Last Call” performance festival will be held on The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Activities such as drag racing, thrilling rides, a car show, celebrity appearances, and a post-event afterglow will be held. It is open to the public for free. But those of us in the Philippines can watch it live via livestream at DodgeGarage.com.
