This makes it the most powerful Porsche SUV to date.

Porsche announced that the 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid debuted as its most powerful SUV to date.

2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is now capable of churning out a whopping 729 horsepower and 950 Nm of torque. It makes 32 more horsepower than the Aston Martin DBX707, which is touted as the most powerful SUV in the world.

The performance is delivered by the combination of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and an electric motor that produces 174 horsepower.

Interior of the new Cayenne

On the road, the German carmaker claims that the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid can go from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, about as quick as the lighter Porsche 718 off the line. The Stuttgart-based manufacturer also claims the SUV can reach a top speed of 295 km/h.

Aside from performance, the efficiency of the hybrid system is also improved. With an increased battery capacity of 25.9 kWh, the vehicle can run 82 km on a single charge. Despite the larger capacity, the new 11 kW on-board charger is able to shorten the charging time to under two-and-a-half hours.

It boasts 729 horsepower

Exterior-wise, the new Cayenne comes with enlarged cooling air intakes, two twin tailpipes in brushed stainless steel, and red brake calipers. Inside, the cabin is standard with a heated GT sports steering wheel, Race-Tex roof lining, and 18-way adjustable leather sports seats.

It is also equipped with a new all-digital instrument cluster, which could replace the brand’s iconic analog tachometer in other Porsches including in the new 911.

The most powerful Porsche SUV

Porsche is offering the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid with the GT Package, adding sportier styling, a tuned air suspension, high-performance Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), and 22-inch GT design wheels, among others.

The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid starts at €176,324 (or around Php 10.8 million) in its homeland Germany. No official word whether this hybridized SUV will arrive in the Philippines. Although, we have another performance-oriented Cayenne with the Turbo GT launched last year.
