Porsche Philippines is taking the Cayenne to the next level with the introduction of the model’s Turbo GT variant. The new top-of-the-line variant also brings new styling, elevating the sportiness on the outside and plushness on the inside. That said, read on to see what are the changes Filipino car buyers can benefit from with the record-setting Porsche Cayenne.
Exterior
Right off the bat, the 22-inch GT design wheels wrapped in satin neodyme finish set the Turbo GT apart from the rest of the range. Performance tires go along with the wheels to make sure that the enhancement on the drivetrain translates well on the road. The SUV gets a lower ride height to match, delivering stability and a sportier appearance.
It looks sportier than ever
At the back, the new Cayenne gets a lightweight exhaust system made of titanium, with a carbon diffuser surrounding the twin pipes. The roof spoiler also comes with carbon side-mounted side plates which complement the rear end of the vehicle.
Interior
Exclusive to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is the Alcantara interior package which exudes a racetrack ambiance. The cabin is equipped with 18-inch adaptive sport seats for the front passengers, a sport rear seat system, and a multifunction sports steering wheel with a top center marking in racing yellow.
Turbo GT badge
Other Turbo GT bits in the interior include ‘Turbo GT’ badges on the headrest on both the front and rear seats, neodyme seat belts which complement the design of the GT design wheels, and a rev counter in Turbo GT design.
Tech & Safety
Providing entertainment on the go is a 12.3-inch head unit with the latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) control unit. It comes with Apple CarPlay, and allows the integration of Apple Music and Apple Podcasts. Moreover, the system is now compatible with Android Auto so more passengers can enjoy the infotainment system.
Exclusive Turbo GT interior package
Among the standard safety features of the German SUV include Warn and Brake Assist with Pedestrian protection, ParkAssist with a reverse camera, and remote central locking. It also gets cruise control so drivers can enjoy the GT (Grand Tourer) part of the new variant’s moniker.
Engine & Performance
Powering the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine capable of producing 631 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. The engine sends power to all wheels (all-wheel-drive) via an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission. It also gets a tuned air suspension for improved handling and reduced body roll.
An SUV for both the track and open roads
Porsche claims that the Cayenne Turbo GT can go from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The acceleration time is faster than SUVs powered by the same engine, including the Lamborghini Urus which does it in 3.6 seconds. It is enough for the SUV to set a record of 7:38.95 at Germany’s renowned 20.8-km track.
Price
While Porsche Philippines has not publicly announced pricing for the Cayenne Turbo GT, the model is listed as having a starting price of $180,800 (Php 9.4 million) in the U.S. market.
