The 2021 Santa Fe looks more striking when viewed up close and in the metal.

We were captivated at how the 2021 Santa Fe looks like when Hyundai revealed it last month. You just can’t help but notice the Santa Fe’s new fascia, which looks bolder, more aggressive, and sharper. It is as if the 2021 Santa Fe is ready to strike its segment rivals.

Hyundai’s midsize SUV now sports a wider grille, a more muscular bumper, and a new headlight design that is integrated with T-shaped daytime running lights. The fascia of the 2021 Santa Fe shares similarities to its bigger sibling, the Palisade. As such, we find the Santa Fe’s front end to be bolder and more composed as compared to its predecessor.

The sharp styling cues can also be seen at the Santa Fe’s side and rear. Fitted with a set of sleek 20-inch wheels and equipped with distinctive taillights, this Santa Fe can be mistaken as a Euro SUV. It looks great when you look at the vehicle’s press photos, but it’s more awesome when the latest Hyundai Santa Fe model is seen in metal.

Good thing, a YouTube video from Asian Petrolhead’s channel gives us the chance to see the 2021 Santa Fe in the metal. The video was shot in Hyundai Motor Studio in Goyang, Korea, and the host gives a walkthrough of the essential things the Santa Fe can offer. Check out the video below.

In addition, Hyundai has also revealed the Santa Fe’s new engine options, which includes two hybrid drivetrains, and a diesel power unit.

The first among the bunch is the new 1.6-liter T-GDi turbocharged gasoline ‘Smartstream’ engine that is integrated with a 44.2 kW electric motor, drawing power from a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery. This power unit setup delivers an output of 227 hp and 350 Nm of torque.
