The F-Pace is Jaguar’s performance SUV that features everything one would look for in a premium SUV-- sleek styling, a luxurious interior, and a high-performance powertrain. All of these characteristics were achieved through injecting the F-Type sports car’s DNA to the body of an SUV, seamlessly merging the British brand’s DNA of quality handling, performance, and aesthetics. Locally offered are four variants with three engine options, which are the Jaguar F-PACE Prestige 2.0 Diesel, Jaguar F-PACE R-Sport 2.0L Diesel, Jaguar F-PACE Prestige 2.0 Petrol, and the Jaguar F-PACE S 3.0 L Petrol. The All-Wheel Drive system comes as standard for all variants.
Launch
The Jaguar F-Pace was first introduced globally in 2016. It was then launched to the Philippine automotive market in November 2017 alongside the E-Pace.
The F-Pace also won the World Car and World Car Design Of The Year in 2017
Exterior
The F-Pace is inspired by the design language applied on the F-Type sports car, sharing the athletic look merged with the SUV’s proportions. Its aerodynamic design is emphasized by sharp crease lines. It is complemented by a prominent chrome grille, a bulge on the bonnet, and pronounced rear haunches giving a sporty yet massive look. Adaptive LED headlights and taillamps flank the front and rear, respectively, which are accentuated with touches of chrome to add to the sophistication of the exterior. The Jaguar F-Pace rides on 20-inch alloys completing the elegant styling.
Interior
Inside the cabin of the Jaguar F-Pace is a plethora of premium materials that blends sportiness and elegance to create the latest in contemporary design. The spacious 5-seater layout is decked in the finest leather trims that wrap the seats, the steering wheel, and parts of the center console. Front row seats come with heating functions and electric adjustability. The rear seats, on the other hand, offer a 40:20:40 configuration opening up to a trunk with 1,700 liters of luggage capacity.
Its modernized interior styling comes with essential controls that are intuitive to use and always close at hand, including a high center console and the Sports Command driving position. Further elevating the luxurious cabin ambiance are a configurable interior mood lighting system and a panoramic sunroof.
Technology & Safety Features
Crowning the dashboard of the Jaguar F-Pace is a 10-inch TouchPro infotainment system that comes with Bluetooth connectivity. Audio comes out of a 16-speaker system. The infotainment package can be activated through voice control to give the driver access to safety and entertainment features. Home screens can be customized with over 60 shortcuts and widgets pre-installed.
It is also equipped with a 12.3-inch Instrument Panel Display with virtual dials and full screen 3D Map View which enables easy navigation. Completing the fully-digital dashboard is the Head-Up Display (HUD) technology that projects key information onto the windscreen.
In terms of safety, the premium crossover is equipped with Central Locking, Anti-theft Device, Immobilizer, Anti-Theft Alarm, Anti-Lock Braking System, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control System, Rear Camera, Parking Sensors, Crash Sensor Traction Control, Engine Check Warning, and Tire Pressure Monitor. Convenience features such as Engine Start or Stop Button, Keyless Entry, and Cruise Control come as standard.
An additional innovation incorporated in the F-Pace is Jaguar's Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) which is a software tuned for optimum feedback and control.
Platform & Chassis
The 5-door, 5-seater SUV is built on lightweight aluminum architecture which makes it the lightest nameplate in its segment. Its advanced chassis and suspension system is a modified version of the configuration used on the F-Type sports car. Suspension comes in the form of independent double wishbones in front and independent multi-link at the rear. Stopping power comes from front Vented Discs and rear Discs.
The Adaptive Dynamics system delivers both precise dynamics and a supple, luxurious ride by monitoring wheel position and body movements. The system constantly monitors conditions and adjusts the dampers, providing smooth handling at all time.
