It’s one of the largest Mercs ever.

If you’re currently in the market for a large and luxurious, seven-seater crossover, then we have great news for you. Mercedes-Benz Philippines has now brought in the GLB 200 AMG Line, one of the largest models it currently has in its lineup. According to the Mercedes-Benz PH, the said vehicle is designed to provide maximum space, comfort, and freedom. It rides on the famed Modular Front Architecture platform, and it’s Mercedes-Benz’s first-ever seven-seater crossover.

The Mercedes-Benz GLB is not only comfortable and luxurious, but it has a very strong road presence

The GLB for the Philippine is definitely the beefiest looking Merc ever. Its total length measures at 4,634mm along with a width of 2,020mm, and a height of 1,658mm. Apart from its inherently macho looking shape, the GLB 200 for the Philippine market is also given an AMG Line look. Up front, its diamond pattern front grille is adorned with chrome pins, it rides on AMG 5-twin-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, and its LED headlights look different.

Inside, the GLB 200 AMG Line is equipped with seven seats covered in Artico leather and Dinamica fabric, and a lot of luxurious soft-touch surfaces. It also has a wealth of features including an electronically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, an Eco start/stop function, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control with Speedtronic variable speed limiter, and active parking assist with Parktronic.

Some people will definitely need that parking assist due to how large the GLB is

One of the most notable interior features of the GLB, however, is the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) in-car personal assistant, which works closely together via the GLB’s seven-inch touchscreen. It can take commands via voice and it can set up calls and many other important activities without needing to touch your phone and taking your hands off of the steering wheel.

Apart from that, the infotainment system can connect to your phone via Android Auto and Apple Carplay, can play radio, and it also has a reversing camera.

Propelling the GLB 200 is a turbocharged 1.3-liter inline-4 gasoline engine. Maximum horsepower is rated at 163 at around 5,500 rpm, and peak torque is 250 Nm at 1,620 to 4,000 rpm. Power is sent to front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

It's got a lot of space that's for sure

The all-new GLB 200 AMG Line is now available at all Mercedes-Benz dealerships with a retail price of Php 3,790,000.
