Maxus Philippines has launched the 2021 D60, a compact crossover SUV that will rival the likes of the Honda CR-V, Chery Tiggo 8, Geely Okavango, among others. The 2021 D60 is also Maxus PH's first crossover SUV offering.
At first glance, the 2021 Maxus D60 bears an eye-catching, modern design that is said to be inspired by a tarantula. Its front end is dominated by a wide octagonal grille with a cobweb pattern, flanked by a pair of sharp-looking LED headlamps. The new Maxus SUV also rides on 18-inch alloy wheels (Elite variant).
The 2021 Maxus D60
Under the hood, the Maxus D60 shares the same 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine that’s found on the G50 MPV. At the most, it can make up to 167 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Power is then managed by a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It handles terrain with an independent MacPherson strut front suspension, and a multi-link independent rear end.

The 2021 D60 gets two variants, the Elite and the Pro. One of the significant differences between the two is that the top-spec Elite can carry up to seven occupants, while the Pro can only seat five. The is because the latter lacks a third-row, but offers loads of cargo space. The tops-spec Elite also has automatic folding side mirrors and front parking sensors.

For safety, the D60 comes standard with dual front and side airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, stability control, a tire pressure monitor, ISOFIX, among others.
