Last year, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) launched the 4x2 Boondock Special. In March of this year, the company followed that up by revealing that it will be introducing the 4x4 version. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic however, IPC had to postpone the said launch.
Now that we are in the general community quarantine where businesses are operating once again, IPC has now scheduled the Boondock 4x4 for a June 17, 2020 launch.
This won’t be a typical public launch though as it will be Isuzu Philippines’s first-ever digital launch, which will take place on Facebook at 5:00 PM. So apart from introducing the much awaited 4x4 model, this is quite a milestone for the company.
With these upgrades, you can go off-roading in style
Like the Boondock 4x2, the 4x4 offers alternate styling that stands out from the regular Isuzu D-Max line. For starters, the upcoming Boondock 4x4 rides on a set of black alloy 17-inch wheels, as well as a set of monotube nitrogen charged performance shock absorbers.
When it comes to style, Boondock 4x4 truly encourages you to #LiveLifeDifferently with its aggressive Boondock Body Graphics, the blacked out features on the front fascia, as well as the pair of very beefy looking Boondock Side Steps.
Under the hood, the Boondock 4x4 is powered by the 3.0-liter 4JJ1-TCX turbo diesel, which is also used by the D-Max LS-A variants. Like the LS-A variants, the Boondock 4x4 is also available with a six-speed manual, or a six-speed automatic. With that configuration, it can make 174 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque.
