When Chery Auto made its comeback in the country in 2019, the Chinese automaker offered the Tiggo lineup which consists of crossovers only. This strategic move has led the brand to stay afloat in the local market especially with the impressive sales contribution of its entry-level subcompact crossover, the Chery Tiggo 2.

With all the wonders the Tiggo 2 has been doing for Chery Auto Philippines, one can say that it is just right to further improve the subcompact crossover to reach more customers. That said, the company decided to bring in the updated Chery Tiggo 2 Pro. It joins the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro as the available Pro models in the local lineup.
Let’s take a look at what Chery Auto Philippines added to its entry-level crossover.
Exterior
Since it is a Pro model, the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro now sports a dot-matrix galaxy-like grille that can be seen as well on its compact crossover sibling. The sleek LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and redesigned fog lamp housings complement the new and larger grille to give the face a premium-like finish.

No significant changes have been made on the sides except for the chrome trims on the C-pillar and side sills. But thanks to new DRLs, the side profile gets an edgier appearance. And to the back, two design updates are done. One is the chrome trim that connects the two taillights is now blacked-out, and the other is the silver plastic cladding which boasts a twin exhaust design.
Interior

The outgoing model’s 8-inch touchscreen has been replaced by a slightly larger 9-inch touchscreen that is now tilted to the view of the driver. New chrome strips run along the edges of the console where the hand brake is located. And no, the electric parking brake from other markets isn’t added to the PH-spec model.
