The new 2020 Hyundai Accent facelift has finally been launched in the Indian market where it is known as the Hyundai Verna.
The sedan will rival against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, and Skoda Rapid in the competitive Indian market.

The prominent mid-cycle update the new Accent gets is on its front fascia – a larger cascading chrome grille with a hexagonal design. It also has new LED headlamps with daytime running lights, LED fog lights, and LED taillights.
One thing worth noticing is the addition of the chrome skid on the front bumper.

Inside, no major update was conducted. The interior gets a new faux wood trim on the dashboard, new air-conditioning vent design, and added new color variants for the upholstery.

Another impressive feature that is added to the Accent facelift is Hyundai’s Blue Link connectivity which includes 45 features. Some of the features include Voice Assist Dialling, Remote Engine Start/Stop, Real-Time Vehicle Tracking, Stolen Vehicle Tracking, SOS/Emergency Assistance, and many more.

Other interior features of the Hyundai Accent 2020 includes an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, full-digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, wireless mobile phone charger, a sunroof, rear USB charger, and Arkamys premium sound.

Under the hood, Hyundai is offering three BS6 engine options with the Hyundai Accent. The first option is the 1.0L Turbo GDI petrol paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission capable of producing 120 hp and 171 Nm of torque.
The second option is a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic 1.5L diesel engine which is capable of generating 115 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Lastly, a new 1.5L petrol engine with a 6-speed manual and Intelligent Variable Transmission completes the options list, producing 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque.

Hyundai is offering six color options for the Verna facelift – these options include Starry Night, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, Titan Grey, Polar White, and Phantom Black.
In terms of pricing, the entry-level Verna facelift variant starts at Rs 9.31 lakh (Php 626,528) and goes up to Rs 15.10 lakh (Php 1,018,577) for the high-end variant.
