The Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class 2023 is a 7-seater full-size luxury crossover SUV that is the largest among the brand's GL SUV lineup. It is sold in the local market with a price of Php 9,690,000 for its sole GLS 350 d AMG Line variant. Powering this luxury vehicle is a 3.0-liter inline-6 OM656 turbodiesel engine that is capable of generating 286 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. A 9G-TRONIC (9-speed automatic transmission) is used to send power to all wheels via the 4matic.
Dimensions-wise, the GLS-Class measures 5,207 mm long, 2,157 mm wide, and 1,823 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,135 mm. In the Philippines, this German full-size luxury crossover SUV directly competes against the BMW X7.
Launch
Auto Nation Group launched the third generation Mercedes-Benz GLS in March 2020. Its introductory price starts at Php 9,690,000.

Mercedes-Benz GLS-class Exterior
The facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLS is now bigger than previous generations in terms of length and width. Its wheelbase comes 60mm longer than its predecessor. Among the upgraded exterior elements is the new front fascia that now sports large air intakes. It is complemented by sleek multi-beam LED headlamps that come as standard. On the rear are narrow LED tail lamps. The GLS rides on 21-inch light-alloy wheels.

A total of seven people can sit comfortably in its spacious cabin that boasts of a plethora of soft-touch leather material on the dashboard and the center console. All seats are also upholstered in leather. The first two rows are equipped with fully electrical adjustability for added comfort and convenience. In terms of ventilation, the Mercedes-Benz GLS 2023 Philippines is furnished with five-zone automatic climate control so that every passenger has a set of dedicated air-conditioning vents.
Technology & Safety Features
The GLS 2023 provides a fully-digital drive experience through its two 12.3-inch displays. One is for the infotainment system that comes with the latest update of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX). Part of the MBUX system is the voice command feature that has been a standard among all new-generation Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The infotainment system is capable of connectivity through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The second display screen is the instrument cluster placed in front of the driver for an entirely digital experience. Audio comes out of a Burmester Surround Sound System.
In terms of safety and convenience, the Mercedes-Benz GLS Philippines comes with a lane tracking system, blind spot assist, active brake assist, and electronic stability control.
It is also equipped with Parktronic technology with active parking assist and a 360-degree camera.

The 7-seater SUV is equipped with independent double-wishbone suspension in front and independent multi-link suspension at the rear. Stopping power comes from disc brakes all around.
