The Maxus T60 is a pickup truck launched locally in 2020. It is available in the Philippines in three variants with a price that ranges from Php 998,000 to Php 1,328,000. Powering the vehicle is a 2.8-liter diesel engine with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT), making 148 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque. Depending on the variant, the engine is connected to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of dimensions, the T60 spans 5,365 mm in length, 2,145 mm in width, and 1,809 mm in height, with a wheelbase rated at 3,155 mm. In the local market, this Chinese pickup truck is competing against the likes of the Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Strada, and Nissan Navara.
Launch
Maxus Philippines first introduced the T60 to the local market in the first quarter of 2020. The pickup truck is the Maxus’ third model in the country. At launch, it made headlines for its attainable pricing for a vehicle in its segment. Prices start at Php 998,000 for the entry-level variant which climbs up to Php 1,378,000 for the top range variant.
Maxus T60 Exterior
The strong, muscular design of the Maxus T60 follows the typical aesthetic of pickup trucks in the market. Its large grille with vertical bars and large LED headlamps with daytime running lights immediately create a statement. The T60 rides on 17-inch alloys designed for rough drives. It is also equipped with roof rails, four cargo tie-down points, sports bar, side steps, and rain-sensing wipers that match the harsh routes it can drive through.

The spacious and comfortable cabin makes the T60 a formidable machine on rough roads. It provides plenty of legroom in both rows. The dashboard is clad in black plastic material with silver accents for a simple and straightforward look. All units are equipped with a multi-purpose 10-inch infotainment system.
The T60’s seats are wrapped in black premium fabric for the base variants and leather upholstery for the top-spec variant. Likewise, the Elite variant’s driver’s seat comes with 6-way power adjustability while the front passenger gets a 4-way manual adjust system.
Technology & Safety Features
The 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the Philippines T60’s dashboard comes with Apple CarPlay as standard. It is also connected to MirrorLink, a rear camera with sensors. Sounds come out of six interior speakers.
All variants also come with keyless entry, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, multifunctional steering wheel, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, and electronic stabilization program which ensures the safety of its driver and passengers. The top range T60 Elite variant gets additional features such as push start, tire pressure monitoring system, and an automatic climate control system.
Maxus T60 Platform & Chassis
The 5-seater pickup truck comes in a ladder and frame chassis. It is equipped with a double wishbone front suspension and leaf spring for the rear. Stopping power comes from disc brakes all around. The T60 offers three drive modes that can easily be switched through control buttons. It comes with an Eco and a Power mode that can quickly adapt to driving conditions and lets the driver take control of the ride.

The Maxus T60 is powered by a 2.8L 4-cylinder Turbo Diesel Engine that adopts Variable Geometric Turbo (GVT) technology allowing the pickup truck to deliver capable performance. It can produce a peak of 148 hp and 360 Nm of torque, the engine is mated to either a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission for the top and mid-range, and base variant, respectively.
