Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Health (DOH) in June in order to address the mobility needs of health workers. Included in the agreement is TMP’s commitment to donating 30 Vios units to several public hospitals situated in Metro Manila and Laguna.
This initiative was mainly driven to acknowledge the efforts of our frontliners amid the COVID-19 pandemic. TMP president Atsuhiro Okamoto salutes all healthcare workers and called them as brave heroes the country needs.

Now, TMP completed the turn over of the 17 Vios units to DOH hospitals during a ceremony held at Toyota’s head office and manufacturing plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The donation forms part of the committed thirty (30) units earlier announced by TMP in June.
Department of Health (DOH) undersecretary Gerardo Bayugo graced the occasion, together with hospital representatives who received premium variants of the locally-produced Vios. Also, present on the occasion are TMP vice-chairman David Go and TMP president Atsuhiro Okamoto.

Toyota PH aims to give essential health workers a safe mode of transportation
TMP says the Toyota Vios is one of the best-selling sedans in the country due to its practicality, versatility, and a wide array of variants. It comes with a price point that starts at Php 662,000 for the base MT variant and Php 1,113,000 for the top-spec G Prime CVT White Pearl variant.
The Vios uses a 1.3-liter or 1.5-liter Dual VVT-i paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or CVT.
TMP Chairman Alfred V. Ty is hoping that the Vios units will help ensure the safe transportation of essential health workers to their workplaces and return home for their loved ones.
He added that Toyota is committed to rebuilding the lives of every Filipino that were disturbed due to the global health crisis.
