Units of the next-gen 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser were recently spotted being transported by a truck somewhere in Batangas City. This confirms that the new and more modern-looking Land Cruiser will shortly make its debut in the Philippine market as the country’s leading carmaker’s luxury full-size SUV.
2022 Toyota Land Cruiser
Although Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) hasn’t formally said a word regarding the matter, the new PH-spec Toyota Land Cruiser’s information can already be seen through a hidden page on the car brand’s Philippine website, a link that was reported by Carguide.ph. It includes details such as the pricing, variants, and specifications.
Looking at the hidden page, the PH-spec 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser will be offered in two variants, namely the base VX and top-spec ZX. With that being said, the more performance-oriented Land Cruiser GR Sport trim seems to be not included in the Philippine lineup.
The upcoming Toyota Land Cruiser will be offering Filipino car buyers standard features such as LED rear combination lamps, 12.3-inch display audio with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Navigation, smart entry, and Toyota Safety Sense.
Color options for the Toyota Land Cruiser ZX
However, only the top-spec ZX variant gets to benefit from sequential turn signal lights at the rear and 20-inch alloy wheels (VX comes with 18-inch alloy wheels). It also has a power back door that allows the tailgate to automatically open or close hands-free.
As for body color options, the Land Cruiser XV is available in four paint finishes, namely White Pearl Crystal Shine, Attitude Black, Gray Metallic, and Silver Metallic. Meanwhile, the Land Cruiser ZX offers Precious White Pearl, Gray Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, and Silver Metallic 2. Of note, both the White Pearl Crystal Shine and Precious White Pearl include an additional Php 15,000 to the SRP.
A 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 diesel engine comes standard which is capable of generating 302 hp and 700 Nm of torque. It sends power to the wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Japanese full-size SUV is installed with ventilated disc brakes for the front and rear wheels.
It is set to enter the Philippine market
The PH-spec 2022 Land Cruiser will be offered at a starting price of Php 5,173,000 for the base VX variant. It goes up to Php 5,642,000 for the top-spec ZX variant excluding the Precious White Pearl paint option. More specifications are expected to be released before the SUV’s Philippine launch.
