Toyota Motor Philippines is set to expand its Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) model lineup with the introduction of the 2023 Innova Zenix. Toyota PH will offer two trims of the new model that are equipped with either a gasoline engine or a gasoline-electric hybrid.  

2023 Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid

The current Innova that’s offered in the Philippine market will not be discontinued as Toyota PH will continue selling it alongside the new Innova Zenix, which will serve as the new flagship model of the said MPV.

The non-hybrid variant comes with a 2.0-liter dual VVT-i gasoline engine that puts out 172 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque. The Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid, on the other hand, is fitted with the same 2.0-liter gasoline engine but it delivers 184 hp and 187 Nm. It then gets an additional 113 hp and 201 Nm of torque from its electric motor. Both Innova Zenix trims come with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) sending power to the front wheels.

Toyota Philippines is looking to launch the new Innova Zenix on June 22 with the non-hybrid version getting the V CVT variant name while the hybrid trim with Q Hybrid CVT. The car brand’s new flagship MPV will be fitted with LED headlights and fog lights while the top-spec Innova Zenix Q Hybrid CVT gets LED daytime running lights (DRLs).  

The Q Hybrid CVT will also get leather seats with an 8-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat. Of note, the non-hybrid trim comes with fabric seats. Meanwhile, both Innova Zenix variants will have second-row captain seats with the top-spec trim getting a power recline function.

Both variants will have power folding side mirrors, an electronic parking brake with auto brake hold, a power tailgate, and a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Standard features also include automatic climate control, paddle shifters, rear parking sensors, and USB Type C ports.

The conventional rear camera is fitted on the non-hybrid Innova Zenix while the hybrid version is equipped with a panoramic view monitor. The hybrid version is also most likely to be integrated with Toyota Safety Sense, which includes safety features such as a pre-collision system, auto high beam, lane assist/keeping assist, lane departure warning, and dynamic radar cruise control.

The non-hybrid Innova Zenix will retail at Php 1,670,000 while the Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid will be offered at Php 1,953,000. 

The color options for the 2023 Toyota Innova Zenix include Dark Steel Mica, Blackish Brown Mica, Attitude Black Mica, Gray Metallic, Silver Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl Mica (additional Php 15,000).
