The second-gen is off to a good start.

Last week, Motor Image Pilipinas, the official distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Philippines, opened reservations for the second-generation 2022 BRZ. It is available on Subaru Philippines’ official website where interested individuals are asked to input their information to get started with the reservation.

Now, it didn’t take long before Filipino car buyers showed their interest in the Japanese sports car. Subaru Philippines confirmed that the first unit allocation of the 2022 BRZ is already sold out.

Subaru PH didn’t disclose the exact reservation numbers the 2022 BRZ garnered for the first batch. But, the company assured that there are several batches allocated for the said vehicle. As such, interested individuals still have the chance to drive home the all-new Subaru BRZ. Subaru PH is encouraging future BRZ owners to reserve for a unit as early as possible.

In terms of pricing, Subaru PH’s official website shows that the all-new BRZ will be offered in two variants, namely with a manual transmission and one with an auto gearbox. The MT variant is priced at Php 2,399,000, while the AT variant comes with a Php 2,499,000 price tag.

The early reservation for the 2022 Subaru BRZ is still up on the car brand’s Philippine website. Upon completing the registration, a Subaru sales consultant will contact them to continue the process. Those who registered will be asked to either visit their preferred Subaru dealership or request a home service for a test drive.

Refined from the front to the back

The all-new Subaru BRZ will be making its official Philippine launch in April 2022 alongside the facelifted Forester. Subaru PH previously mentioned that it is planning to launch the all-new BRZ, and the facelifted Forester at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), which is usually held in April.

However, the car brand is not yet sure about the planned MIAS launch due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Restrictions might force MIAS organizers to not push through with the physical event, similar to what happened last 2020. But, Subaru PH did confirm that the all-new BRZ and the facelifted Forester will be launched in April 2022.
