Nickelodeon's PAW Patrol road safety campaign has made its way to the Philippines. This is made possible by a partnership with the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation, and it will run from November 2022 to June 2023.
Its a kid-friendly way of promoting road safety
The goal of this collab is to educate everyone, both adults and kids, on road safety. To do that, PAW Patrol-themed safety messages will be displayed on plaza banners and billboards along NLEX.
According to NLEX Corp., road safety has always been a priority for the company. But with the help of the children’s animated series, these messages will be made more visible. It may also help establish awareness of being a careful and safe driver in children for when they eventually grow up to be a new generation of motorists who will travel our local roads in the future.
Besides the messages on NLEX itself, NLEX Corp. will also host a kiddie boot camp which is scheduled to take place on November 11, 2022 at SM City Clark. During the event, kid-centric activities concerning road safety will be made open to participants.
These include a road safety workshop, a driving simulation game, and a road sign-making session, among others. During the event, kids will also get the chance to meet PAW Patrol’s main characters like Chase, Marshall, Skye, and Rubble.
Be a safe driver or Chase will bite...er, give you a ticket
The said PAW Patrol road safety campaign has existed as a community outreach project by Paramount Consumer Products Asia under the Nickelodeon brand. For those unfamiliar, PAW Patrol is an animated show for preschoolers highlighting values such as teamwork, problem solving, citizenship, and safety-first practices.
To make it even more kid friendly, it features a cast of anthropomorphized puppies who work as a rescue workers around the fictional Adventure Bay community. It is currently available on Nick Jr. on Sky Cable, Cignal, Asian Vision, Gsat, and Netflix.
