It accounted for 47 percent of Nissan’s sales for the first nine months of this year.

Nissan Philippines announced its sales performance for the first nine months of 2021. It tallied 13,235 units sold for the year-to-date (YTD) sales, while the total September sales are at 1,737 units. These numbers are delivered by the car brand’s three best-selling units for this year so far, namely the Navara, Urvan, and Terra.

The Navara boosted sales efforts by Nissan Philippines from January to September 2021

The Nissan Navara tops the car brand’s sales from January to September 2021 with 6,238 units sold (47 percent). This is not a surprise considering that the facelifted model arrived earlier this year. It boasts a more aggressive and rugged pickup truck appearance while offering improved safety bits.

Needless to say, the highlight of the mid-cycle refresh on the exterior is the integration of the quad LED headlights. These are paired with C-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs) for a sleeker finish. As for safety, the Japanese truck gets the Nissan Intelligent Mobility to provide a safer and more secure driving experience.

Enhancements abound on the midsize pickup from front to back

Coming in second is the Nissan Urvan with a YTD sales of 2,407 units. One can say that the reason for the van’s impressive sales performance is that it addresses the need for a business hauler that can carry people and cargo in the new normal. It offers various seating configurations, with a maximum capacity of 18 persons.

The third on Nissan Philippines’ 2021 sales list is the facelifted Nissan Terra. Just like the new Navara, the latest Nissan Terra is equipped with the same pair of headlights that create a sleeker finish. Other new features include a larger V-Motion grille, 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, two-tone interior theme, and updated Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite of driver-assist features.

The refreshed Nissan Terra made its Philippine debut in the third quarter

Now that the year is coming to an end, Nissan Philippines’ sales are expected to improve considering that the new fourth-gen Almera has officially arrived on our shores. It offers a sportier design and a turbocharged mill that should appeal to the market, especially for young car buyers.
