Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corporation (MMPC), the official business unit of Mitsubishi vehicles in the country, is making moves to further improve its business model as it will soon appoint Mr. Takeshi Hara as its new President & CEO, succeeding Mr. Mutsihiro Oshikiro who has led the company for four years.

MMPC's new President & CEO Mr. Takeshi Hara

With the motto “Serve our customers to enrich their lives,” the upcoming President & CEO commits to provide only the best to Filipino car buyers in terms of products and services. In doing so, he hopes that it will strengthen the company’s productivity and sustainable growth in the country.

Mr. Takeshi Hara first joined Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) in 1993, obtaining experiences in various business fields such as plant operation, corporate planning, sales, and after-sales for MMC in Japan, and several other countries including Thailand.

Prior to Mr. Hara’s appointment as the top official of MMPC, he served as the Executive Vice President and Assistant to the President & CEO last April. The soon-to-be Chief Executive Offer will carry on the commendable work of Mr. Oshikiro that led Mitsubishi to be hailed as the second best-selling car brand in the local market for years.

Mr. Mutsihiro Oshikira had a good four year run in the country

Some of the notable achievements MMPC had during the rule of Mr. Mutsuhiro Oshikiro include the local debut of the Mitsubishi Xpander MPV which is currently one of the best-selling units of the brand, the efforts made to thrive in the new normal of doing business, and the milestone of rolling out the 200,000th L300 unit last year.

MMC and MMPC believe that the appointment of Mr. Hara is a compliment to the structural reforms rolled out by the former leader. The Japanese automaker will officially announce the appointment of Mr. Hara this July 1, while the company’s Presidential Turnover Ceremony will be held on July 8, 2021.
