The call of agriculture and the quiet life on the farm is a tale as old as time. And for Mr. Arcie Sumayao, a Manila-based entrepreneur, that’s just what he did, and is doing at his property in Cavite.

A good farmer, however, needs a good logistics partner. A tough and reliable workhorse vehicle that can carry stuff, and allow him and his family to build the farm of his dreams. And his choice of truck for that very purpose is the Maxus T60.
Now for Mr. Sumayao, the T60 is just right for his and his family’s needs. It can carry up to a ton of cargo, and its upsized dimensions mean that it features a sizable cargo bed. Moreover, it can deal with the rocky and rough path in Mr. Sumayao’s farm with ease.
The entrepreneur and farm owner is also pleased with the T60’s capability on the highway, where it can reach up to 80 km/h with ease. This is thanks to its 2.8-liter turbodiesel mill that can produce up to 148 horsepower and 360Nm of torque. It also helps that the truck features cruise control, as well as a spacious interior.
It also has a lot going for it in terms of looks
Besides the T60’s capabilities, Mr. Sumayao also admits that purchasing the said truck has also helped him financially. This is because instead of buying a utility car and a family car, the T60 can very much fulfill both roles.
There’s also the point that the T60 offers a lot for its affordable price. After all, its current price ranges from Php 998,000 to Php 1,328,000 so it's one of the more affordable pickup trucks in the Philippine market today.
Of note, the Maxus T60 is distributed locally by AC Motors, which is a part of AC Industrials, an Ayala Corporation subsidiary. And if you’re curious, do check out our car guide Maxus T60 page for its detailed specs and price list.
