Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) begins a new chapter as it sends off its longest-serving president Hajime Koso who served as the company’s leader for seven years. Koso passed the torch to Noboru Murakami as IPC’s new president.
Before taking on the role as IPC’s president, Murakami served as the general manager of Isuzu Motors Limited (IML), Japan. Murakami has years of experience in the truck industry, which is an asset that will help IPC to maintain its strong foothold in the Philippine truck market.
The new IPC president intends to continue the company’s reign as the number one truck brand in the country, an accolade that it has been holding for 22 years now. Murakami plans to sustain IPC’s momentum by listening to and addressing what the customers or the market want. Murakami is also determined not to be complacent with what IPC is currently offering to the market.
“Being on top puts more challenge to us, we cannot be complacent with what we currently offer. As always, our key is to listen to our customers, if there is anything to improve it has to be aligned with our customer’s needs and business requirements,” Murakami said.
“Satisfying these needs at every touchpoints, whether for sales or aftersales will pave our way towards achieving ultimate ‘Customer Success’,” Murakami added.
IPC’s new president also wants to drive the company toward a more sustainable path by giving importance to protecting the environment.
“For IPC, sustainability is no longer [a] choice but rather our way forward. We understand that as a social obligation, our company must put priority into protecting the environment without compromising customer success,” Murakami said.
Murakami’s extensive experience in international sales, corporate planning, and sales planning will be handy in maintaining and further establishing IPC’s presence in the Philippine automotive industry. He will oversee IPC’s operation as well as the development of its dealer network nationwide.
