The Isuzu D-Max is off to a good start in 2023 as it won the Pick-up of the Year award in the United Kingdom (UK).
The Isuzu D-Max is 4x4 Magazine's Pick-up of the Year
UK-based specialist publication 4x4 Magazine handed the accolade to the Isuzu D-Max. It follows the same award received by the Japanese pickup truck last year, signifying how the model continues to provide an impressive price-to-feature ratio in the UK market.
Aside from the competitive design and performance, 4x4 Magazine praised Isuzu UK for offering a locking rear diff and automatic transmission as an option even on the entry-level variant. With it, prospective buyers can look to drive a capable off-roading pickup without opting for the more expensive flagship model.
“We like what we’re seeing from Isuzu UK. The D-Max range has grown in lots of good ways this last year and provides real value for money,” said 4x4 Magazine Editor Alan Kidd.
The Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 was also recognized as the Best Individual Model
Moreover, the Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 was named Best Individual Model. The D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 is the truck’s flagship model, coming with enhancements to the body, frame, drivetrain, suspension, and styling. Some of these are a 35-inch wheel in all-terrain tires and a Bilstein Performance suspension.
“We are thrilled that the expert panel at 4x4 Magazine has crowned the Isuzu D-Max as their Pick-up of the Year and the D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 as the Best Individual Model,” said Isuzu UK Managing Director Alan Able.
Locally, the PH-spec Isuzu D-Max is also being recognized for its outstanding value. Last November 2022, it was hailed as the Pick-up of the Year at the 18th Annual C! Awards. The jury was impressed with the model’s comfortable interior design and first-in-its-class advanced safety features. Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s (IPC) accessible parts and excellent services also gave the D-Max an edge over its rivals.
