Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is proud to announce the top awards it received at the 17th Isuzu World Technical Competition, also dubbed as the annual “I-1 Grand Prix” (I-1 GP).
Team Isuzu Philippines showed up big time
The IPC team finished second and third in Commercial Vehicles (CV) and Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Divisions, respectively. A total of 61 teams from 49 countries participated at the 2022 I-1 GP, which was held virtually due to the lingering threats of the COVID-19.
As the name of the competition suggests, the I-1 GP aims to showcase the excellence of Isuzu technicians around the world. The IPC team bringing home the second and third place awards reflects the company’s superb after-sales service Filipino Isuzu owners can benefit from.
Locally, the Isuzu LCV models you can buy are the D-Max and muX. The Isuzu D-Max is a pickup truck that has been bagging various accolades due to its impressive performance including the championship title at the 2022 Philippine Rallycross Series (PHRX). Meanwhile, the Isuzu mu-X is a 7-seater midsize SUV that is ideal for Filipino families.

And as for the CV Division, Arjay Ang-Angcan of Isuzu Pasig took home second place, while Vicente Collantes of Isuzu Alabang bagged fourth place.
“We’re very proud of the recognitions given to Team Isuzu Philippines in this year’s I-1 Grand Prix Awards. All these accolades are [the] fruit of hard work and cooperation of IPC Aftersales team and the entire dealer network,” said IPC President Noboru Murakami.
“We appreciate the initiative and dedication of the team and dealers to enhance our aftersales performance. Given these awards, we assure all customers that they will continue [to] receive the best customer service from all our dealers nationwide,” added Murakami.
