The all-new Isuzu D-Max has built quite a strong resume despite being a relatively new pickup truck in the market. It recently secured the “Best Pickup Truck” award and the “Best Workhorse Pick-Up” award from various media agencies in the United Kingdom, signifying the truck’s impressive characteristics.
The Isuzu D-Max is a value buy
4x4 Magazine, a renowned publication in the UK, is further solidifying the all-new D-Max as it named the truck the “Best Value Pickup of the Year.” This award shows how the model managed to deliver ample features and an appealing truck design while keeping the price at a competitive level.
“The Isuzu D-Max won Pick-up of the Year last year after we first drove it, so we’ve not been at all surprised by the enormous demand Isuzu has encountered since sales began. And one of the reasons why people are queueing up to buy them is that Isuzu has priced them very smartly indeed,” said 4x4 Magazine Editor Alan Kidd.
One sturdy and capable truck
The third-gen Isuzu D-Max comes with a more aggressive appearance thanks to its sharp-looking LED headlights with U-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), fang-like grille, and an angular bumper. With the top-spec variant, the truck runs on an ambitious-looking set of wheels finished in gunmetal.
Part of the award is the Advanced Driver Assist System the all-new Isuzu D-Max offers. This system is equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Intelligent Speed Limiter, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, among others.
Isuzu D-Max Utility in the UK
In addition, Isuzu UK is offering the model with various configurations to meet different demands in its respective market. Included in the options are Single Cab, Extended Cab, and Double Cab. It also offers the Isuzu D-Max Utility which is a stripped-down version that can be used as a workhorse vehicle.

The Isuzu D-Max 2023 is a 5-seater pickup truck that is available in several variants with various options for a 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain. Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is offering this truck at a price that ranges from Php 917,000 to Php 1,9055,000. There are two engine options powering the D-Max. One is a 1.9-liter RZ4E-TC inline-4 turbodiesel engine that makes 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, while the other is a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX inline-4 turbodiesel engine that delivers 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission can be paired to the said engines.
In terms of dimensions, the D-Max spans 5,277 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,810 mm in height. It boasts a ground clearance rated at 240 mm, as well as a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Some of the competitors of the Isuzu pickup truck in the Philippines are the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, and Mazda BT-50.
