All-new 2021 Isuzu D-Max bags another award in UK

Recently, the all-new 2021 Isuzu D-Max has won the “Best Pickup Truck” at the Business Vans Awards in the United Kingdom (UK). The Business Vans Awards said that the model provides excellent driving comfort and can carry cargo seamlessly which are essential attributes for this type of vehicle.

Now, the Japanese pickup truck has won yet another award. The Trade Van Driver in the UK voted the 2021 Isuzu D-Max as the “Best Workhorse Pick-Up.” The Trade Van Driver is a media agency based in the UK that publishes magazines dedicated to delivering news regarding commercial and workhorse vehicles that can be used in the trade industry.

According to the UK-based media agency, the all-new 2021 Isuzu D-Max was built to provide durability and practicality which can be used as a dependable workhorse and a strong off-roader. It is also equipped with a class-leading Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) that helped it score a 5-star rating from the Euro NCAP.

A looker and a workhorse

Trade Van Driver Editor Matthew Eisenegger commented, “The D-Max has always ticked all the right boxes for tradespeople with its solid reliability and impressive off-road capabilities but the new model combines it with levels of refinement, safety, and luxuries previously unseen in the pickup sector.”

In response, Isuzu UK Managing Director William Brown said, “We’re extremely proud to be awarded ‘Best Workhorse Pick-up’ as it demonstrates the huge appeal that the All-New Isuzu D-Max has within the trades sector. 2021 Isuzu D-Max Full Review: Huge changes for the new-generation model

Locally, the 2021 Isuzu D-Max made its official debut earlier this year. The PH-spec D-Max is powered by either a 1.9-liter RZ4E diesel engine or a larger 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine that can generate 188 hp and 450 Nm of torque.

A total of nine D-Max variants are offered on the local market to address the different mobility needs that a pickup truck can offer. Pricing for the 2021 Isuzu D-Max starts at Php 857,000 for the Single Cab variant and goes up to Php 1,825,000 for the LS-E AT flagship variant.

Isuzu Philippines offers the Isuzu D-Max as its entry in the midsize pickup truck segment. This tough workhorse from the Japanese carmaker is designed to take on any road. Isuzu D-Max got the reliability of its predecessors and the Fuego. However, the current pickup truck is equipped with more modern features that perfectly fit the Filipino lifestyle. Additionally, Isuzu D-max also has a remarkable rear bed size that can carry a multitude of heavy and large items. The Isuzu pickup truck can also be optioned with a set of accessories such as camper shells, bed covers, and many more. Isuzu D-Max also comes in a commercial vehicle layout. It can also be configured as the cab and chassis variant. This configuration can be had with an enclosed van type rear end, passenger layout, bed, or other job-specific configuration. Isuzu Philippines offers the third-generation D-Max with a couple of engine and transmission options. The first option is a 1.9L turbo diesel that produces 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. For car buyers who are looking for more power, they can opt for the bigger mill, which is the 3.0L engine that pumps out 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. These two engines are equipped with the brand’s BluePower technology for Euro 4 compliance and better fuel efficiency. Both engines can be paired with either six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
