Going digital is the way to go for the car brand.

It’s an open secret that car brands in the Philippines have to re-align business strategy and services due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the country, took on the challenges brought upon by the pandemic by rolling out the Hyundai Guidelines for Protection and Safety (GPS).

Safety precautions were set by HARI

The Hyundai GPS was introduced by the car brand last May 2020 to set precautionary safety measures against the threats of the COVID-19. Up until this day, the guidelines continuously safeguard the well-being of Hyundai employees and customers so HARI can carry on with its operations in the new normal.

“We had to take care of the physical and mental well-being [of] our own, first of all, to ensure that they are ready to adapt and serve customers under the new working conditions. We can’t give customers what we don’t have,” said HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.

Customers should feel safer with the Hyundai ARMOR

In the pursuit of safer operations, HARI has come up with the word ‘Phygital’ which the car brand explains as the marrying of physical stores with digital. Under HARI’s Phygital, the Hyundai H.O.M.E. Page (Hyundai Online Market Experience) and Hyundai ARMOR (Active Response, Management, Operations, and Resumption) were successfully launched.

The Hyundai H.O.M.E. Page serves as a selling platform so customers won’t have to visit a physical dealership to get their dream Hyundai vehicle. Since June last year, HARI said that this platform has helped around 200,000 customers with their car buying experience.

Phygital is the future

Meanwhile, the Hyundai ARMOR is the reworked “Right Here, Right Care” program, which aims to provide Hyundai customers after-sales services while observing proper health protocols. Over 154,000 customers have been served by the Hyundai ARMOR since its launch.

“There’s no turning back. Phygital is the future of our industry. We have discovered a way of providing customers Better Journeys and they are loving it,” Agudo concluded.
