The AFMCA is now in its 18th year, and it is organized by Sunshine Television and Marketing Services, Inc. (STV). The Media’s Choice Awards is driven to help car buyers in their vehicle purchase decision. The all-new Civic is one of the Honda vehicles that received high remarks in the 2022-2023 AFMCA. The Honda Civic won three out of the four categories in the Standard Compact Sedan class. Specifically, the Civic received the following awards: Best Design, Best Engine Performance, and best Safety Features.

The 11th-generation Honda Civic comes with a revamped design inside and out. It has won several international awards such as clinching the 2022 North America Car of the Year. The Civic is also included in the 10 vehicles to have the best interior last 2021.

In terms of safety, the all-new Honda Civic boasts a 5-star rating from the ASEAN New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). The Civic posted notable scores for overall occupant protection as per the crash tests conducted by the ASEAN NCAP.

HCPI is currently offering the Civic in three variants with a starting price of Php 1,368,000 while the top-spec variant retails at Php 1,760,000. Standard across all Civic variants is the Honda Sensing driver-assistive feature, which helps give you safer drives. All variants are also equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine that delivers 176 hp and 240 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, the Brio is another Honda model that smashed the competition in the 2022-2023 AFMCA. The Brio also took home three awards namely: Best Design, Best Engine Performance, and Best Safety Features in the Standard Mini Hatchback class.

HCPI said that the Brio’s sleek and sporty design as well as its safety features contributed to bringing home the three awards. The Brio also has a claimed fuel consumption of 24.39 km/l, which is something to note considering the current fuel prices in the country.
