Working together to promote road safety.

To strive for better road safety, the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) has signed an agreement with the Autohub Group of Companies via the latter’s Autohub Institute of Technology (AIT).

Present during the signing event is Autohub President and Chief Executive Officer Willy Tee Ten, Honda Philippines Inc. President Susumu Mutsuishi, Autohub AVP for After Sales Support Jesus Boces Jr, and Honda Philippines Inc. AVP for Business Administration Gerry Datario.

Through this partnership, AIT and HSDC will offer safety driving courses for Autohub Group’s four-wheeled clients.

Both have also worked together to establish the Autohub Motorcycle Training Excellence program (AMTEX). The said course aims to create responsible riders who are knowledgeable on road safety procedures.

The said eight-hour practical driving course is for clients with student licenses, as well as for those who are holders of professional and non-professional licenses. The course begins with a classroom lecture on fundamentals like road markings, road signs, and proper hand signals.

That is then followed by an actual riding course for riders to learn proper techniques on tackling curves, proper speed modulation through clutch work, and braking, among other things. Riders will also be exposed to a variety of road conditions while inside a safe and regulated setting.

AIT has a road course for AMTEX sessions

Apart from the informative (and potentially life-saving) skills a rider will learn from the program, Autohub Car Care Services is also offering safety riding equipment after every session.

What’s good about AMTEX is that it is not limited to current Honda or Autohub clients. It is in fact, open for everyone, and “can cater as well to brands that are not in the roster of dealerships and distributors of our group.”

So for those who are new to motorcycle riding, you might want to check out the AMTEX program. Heck, even experienced riders who just want to further elevate their riding experience or refresh and update their respective riding skill sets might be able to take advantage of what AMTEX offers as well.
