While there’s scant info about it, the model does look great.

Recently, Honda has provided a teaser for the next-generation CR-V. This new one is set to replace the fifth-generation model, which has been around since 2016.

The front and the rear of the upcoming 2023 Honda HR-V

The teaser shows a portion of the upcoming CR-V’s front and the rear ends. The model that was shown though is the CR-V Hybrid trim for the United States, and so the one that’s coming here to the local market is expected to have some variances. Then again, we are sure that this 2023 Honda CR-V shown on the teaser will still underpin the future Philippine-spec model.

Up front, the 2023 CR-V gets enhanced styling courtesy of a wider, more squared-off grille, a pair of sharper headlamps, and a new trapezoid-shaped lower air intake. There are still bits of chrome on the front end of the vehicle, though it certainly looks more subdued compared to the current Honda CR-V

Details for the sides of the upcoming, next-gen CR-V though are pretty scarce. But from the rear, we can say that the new one appears much wider thanks to its more pronounced fender flares.

The rear end also gets a new LED taillight design which comes as a series of L-shaped individual pieces of lighting. The largest one is of course found on the corners, where it wraps around the curvature of the new CR-V.

Down below, the new CR-V also gets a new lower rear bumper. It also has this squarish chrome trimmed faux exhaust tip which mirrors the trim piece found in front of the crossover. The real exhaust pipe might be hidden further below/under the vehicle, though.

As for interior features, engine specifications, and other relevant information about the 2023 Honda CR-V, the teaser says that more details will be released in summer. That’s around June this year, at the earliest.
