Ford Philippines managed to sell 20,008 units last year, which translates to a 35-percent sales improvement over its performance in 2020. It is enough for the Blue Oval company to be hailed as the third best-selling brand in the country in 2021.

The Ford Ranger led the charge, selling 9,184 units last year, 5,490 of which were delivered by the more off-ready version, the Ford Ranger Raptor. That said, the American midsize truck remained the best-selling 4x4 pickup in the country with a market share of 36 percent.
“The Ford Ranger drove our strong retail performance last year as we continue to offer a pickup truck that is tough, capable, and versatile. We also strengthened our connection with our customers through ‘Live the Ranger Life,’ which showcased how the Ford Ranger enables their needs, passions, and goals in life,” said Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Breen.
The truck remains to be at the top of the competition
With the strong momentum the Ranger is bringing this 2022, one can expect that its sales performance will further improve as Ford Philippines will soon introduce the all-new Ranger. It is one of the many models that is expected to arrive in our market this year, offering a more muscular truck styling and updated in-car tech.
The Ford Territory was the second best-selling unit of Ford Philippines in 2021, delivering 6,881 units sold which resulted in a market share of 55 percent in the compact crossover segment. Additionally, the Ford Everest and EcoSport managed to sell 1,772 units and 1,500 vehicles last year, respectively.

Aside from the strong performance delivered by Ford’s car lineup, the company also expanded its dealership network to reach more customers. This includes the Ford Cebu which is marked as the 50th Ford dealership in the country.
“We are optimistic that we will be able [to] sustain the momentum in 2022 as we continue to partner with our dealers, partners, and employees in bringing our segment-leading vehicles to more Filipino customers and enhancing the Ford ownership experience,” concluded Breen.
