According to Ford’s analysis of registration data from S&P Global, the U.S. market had the strongest demand, representing 76 percent of its global sales. The Mustang’s sales also grew in other markets last year such as New Zealand by 54.3 percent, Brazil by 37.3 percent, and South Korea by 16.6 percent.

Leading the impressive 2021 sales is the return of the Ford Mustang Mach 1 which is powered by ‘the pinnacle’ of its 5.0-liter V8 engine performance. With the prestigious title, the Ford Mustang proves its name in the market as an iconic sports coupe that continues to deliver a thrilling experience for drivers around the world. This marks the Mustang’s seventh straight achievement of the said feat.

“When enthusiasts around the world get into a Mustang, they unlock that feeling of freedom and experience the open road,” said Ford Blue President Kumar Galhotra. “That feeling, along with iconic design, awesome powertrains, and a passionate global community all contribute to making Mustang a sales leader for the seventh year in a row.”

The Blue Oval company looks to further improve the model’s sales with its new special editions consisting of the Mustang Ice White, Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition, GT California Special, Coastal Limited, and Stealth.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

In addition, the sports coupe’s electric vehicle (EV) counterpart, the Mustang Mach-E, was regarded as one of the hottest Ford products last year. It is one of the first EV models to be rolled out under the brand’s plan of offering all-electric vehicles by 2030. The Ford Mustang Mach-E is capable of reaching 483 kms. on a full charge, as well as getting from zero to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
