This validates Ford’s commitment to safety.

It hasn’t been a year since the reintroduction of the Ford Bronco Sport in the American car brand’s lineup but it is already receiving numerous recognitions for its new updates. The latest accolade the SUV received is the Top Safety Pick+ rating from the United States’ Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport

The Top Safety Pick+ is the highest possible rating issued by the IIHS. In all six IIHS crashworthiness tests, the Ford Bronco Sport managed to bag all top ratings. These tests include driver- and passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restrains. The Ford Bronco Sport also earned the Top Safety Pick+ as it scored advanced ratings in both the vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations.

“As the Bronco of small SUVs, Bronco Sport was engineered to help our customers get out and adventure, both on- and off-road, and to do so safely,” said Ford Chief Product Platform and Operation Officer Hau Thai-Tang. “This IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating validates that commitment,” he added.

Ford Bronco Sport proves that it is a safe vehicle

In terms of safety, the Ford Bronco Sport can be equipped with intelligent adaptive cruise control, lane-centering, rear-cross traffic alert, pedestrian detection, traffic sign recognition, and automatic emergency braking, depending on the driver-assistant features option. These options include the Co-Pilot 360, Co-Pilot 360 Assist+, and the Co-Pilot 360 Assist 2.0. The Ford Co-Pilot 360 is the car brand’s advanced suite of driver-assist technologies. Its main goal is to provide Ford owners a more convenient and safer driving experience.

With its notable reputation when it comes to safety, would you consider buying the Bronco if ever Ford Philippines introduce it here? Well, Ford PH could use the Bronco Sport’s capabilities in keeping occupants safe as one of its selling points.

On the other hand, Ford recently announced that it will not manufacture a right-hand drive version of the Bronco. However, the blue oval brand has been finding ways to expand the Bronco’s global reach.
