As more tollways become cashless, Easytrip Services Corporation shares tips for motorists for a more convenient and hassle-free journey. The tips include managing and maintaining Easytrip RFIDs (radio-frequency identification).
Easytrip is used for expressways such as NLEX, SCTEX, CALAX, and CAVITEX C5 Link
Reloading can be done through smartphones via the MPT DriveHub app. The app is said to be a one-stop shop for all things RFID-related. One of the services is topping up an RFID, which is offered with lower service fees when loading on the app.
Easytrip also has alternative reloading partners online, namely Maya, Bayad Online, GCash, BPI, BDO, and RCBC. Users can also visit EasyTrip RFID stations, Easytrip Kiosks, 7/11 Bayad Center, Touchpay, Cebuana Lhuillier, EC Pay, or The SM Store.
Aside from reloading, the app can also check the remaining balance. It is important to know for all motorists that traversing tollways with insufficient balance carries a penalty. Here are the different ways to check RFID balance as per Easytrip:
- Register for Quick Balance Inquiry via easytrip.ph
- Log on and check myeasytrip web
- Call MPTC Hotline 1-35000: Press 1 for Easytrip, then select Balance Inquiry
- Get an SMS Balance Inquiry by sending a text with BAL [space] your 12-digit account number to 0919-160-1553
As for maintenance, Easytrip reminds users to wash their cars carefully to prevent damaging the chip in the card. It also said to use mild cleaning materials only, as well as not transfer an RFID sticker to a different car. Lastly, the company recommends users go for regular check-ups when driving by an Easytrip RFID station.
Owning an RFID also requires maintenance
Easytrip is also adding more tollways to its list of 100-percent RFID lanes (no cash lanes). For your reference, you can check out the table below:

“We [MPT Mobility] are committed to making the overall customer experience convenient, easy, and smooth sailing for all subscribers. Checking, reloading, and overall account management have been made so simple – thanks to the interconnectivity of Easytrip, MPT DriveHub, and MPTC expressways,” added Coson.
