Chery Auto PH complies with DTI’s safeguard tariff

As you might be already aware, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is imposing a provisional safeguard tariff on several imported car models. Some local car companies have already announced that they will implement the said administrative order.

Chery Auto Philippines said that it will be implementing the safeguard tariff on its models. Here is a table of the new prices of the said company’s models under the Safeguard Measures Act.

As you can see, the new ruling has added up to Php 78,400 to the price of the Chery models. To be more specific, that’s Php 70,000 plus value-added tax (VAT).

The implementation of the Safeguard tariff is of course inline with Chery Auto PH’s desire to help the country reach its economic goals. On top of that, the said company remains committed to delivering a stress-free car ownership experience with its host of industry-leading warranty and preventive maintenance service (PMS) programs.

This includes a five-year general warranty, free PMS for three years, and a 10-year or 1-million-kilometer engine warranty.
