Even with the threats of the health crisis, Chery Auto Philippines managed to record a staggering 216 percent rise in sales during the first quarter (Q1) of 2021 as compared to Q1 2020. This is a result of the brand’s unrelenting efforts to expand its business network in the country in these trying times.

The brand's top-seller, the Tiggo 2
Since the Chinese carmaker’s comeback in the local market in 2019, it has already established 19 dealerships nationwide, with the Camarines Sur, Bicol dealer as the latest addition. The brand has also introduced the new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in January 2021 which offers European-inspired design and innovative features.
The model that comes at top of Chery’s sales figures is the Tiggo 2, the brand’s entry to the subcompact crossover segment. It is the entry-level vehicle to Chery’s crossover-only lineup which comes with a starting price of Php 695,000 for the manual variant and Php 770,000 for the automatic variant.
The future of Chery in the country is promising
Other crossovers that helped the Chinese car brand significantly grow its name in the country include the Tiggo 5x subcompact crossover and the 7-seater Tiggo 8 midsize crossover. All models are powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, but only the Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 come with a turbocharger making 145 hp and 210 Nm of torque.
Chery Auto Philippines is offering its lineup that consists of crossovers only with an industry-leading 10-year/1-million-km engine warranty, 5-year general warranty, 3-year roadside assistance, and a free full preventive maintenance service (PMS) for three years.
