Chery Auto Philippines is looking to expand its dealership network through partnerships with five new dealer groups.
The automaker wants to reach out to more customers
The five dealer groups include Laus Group, Unli Drive Motors, Alphamile Motors, Autohub Group, and Wheeltek Group. Chery Auto Philippines Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin, along with United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) Chairman Rommel Sytin, graced the signing ceremony with each of the group’s key representatives to seal the partnerships.
New Chery dealerships are expected to rise in Pampanga, Fairview, Calamba, Rizal, Marikina, Cabanatuan, and Imus. The Chinese automaker said these dealerships, along with the current ones, will soon adopt its “new, modern, and eye-catching” global visual identity for their showrooms and aftersales facilities.
Coincidentally, the soon-to-rise dealerships will help expand the reach of the Tiggo crossover lineup. The latest additions, the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid and the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid will provide folks who are in the market for a relatively affordable electrified vehicle with more options.
Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid
The all-new Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid is not only bringing a hybrid powertrain but also all the goodies from the Pro badge. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid engine capable of generating 156 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. It is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with nine-simulated gears.
That is the same powertrain setup you can find in the bigger compact crossover sibling, the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid.
The two other models we can see at the upcoming dealerships are the Tiggo 2 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro. The latter is available with a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain that can run 75 km in pure EV mode.
“More Filipinos will have easier access to Chery dealerships near their area. More Filipinos can own quality vehicles at a very practical price,” said Chery Auto Philippines in a press release.
