CMPI held a groundbreaking ceremony for its upcoming national headquarters, which will rise in Calamba, Laguna by December 2022. It is set to be the car brand’s flagship of operations excellence and training hub in order to further strengthen its presence in the Philippine automotive industry.

The national headquarters will be situated at the Auto Resources Center (ARC) in Calamba, a 20-hectare property that will have a 2,390-square-meter predominantly glass and aluminum structure. The entire complex is inspired by Changan International Corporation’s (CIC) global corporate identity. CMPI shared that will feature a modern showroom, full service workshops, offices, and training facilities for CMPI’s Sales, After Sales, Customer Relations, and Marketing personnel.

"The CMPI National Headquarters will be our hub for exponential growth … We are not only breaking ground for our brand and CMPI, we are also opening new opportunities for the people of Calamba, the neighboring cities and, ultimately, for our industry and our nation,” said CMPI president and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.

Changan re-entered the Philippine market last November 2020 with five vehicle offering that includes the Alsvin sedan, CS35 Plus, CS75 Plus, CS95, and the pure electric sedan EADO EV 460. This year, CMPI expanded its model lineup as it launched the new 2022 CS35 Plus, a subcompact crossover that’s packed with safety features.

The Alsvin, on the other hand, is CMPI’s challenger in the subcompact sedan segment, which includes vehicles such as the Toyota Vios, Honda City, Kia Soluto, among others. The Alsvin is claimed to be a fuel-efficient sedan.
