Aston Martin has teased the final model of the DBS nameplate with the new DBS 770 Ultimate.
The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate teaser video
As the name suggests, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate should offer more power rated around 770 ps (759 horsepower) from the same 5.2-liter AM31 twin-turbocharged V12 engine. That is around 44 horsepower of increase, making it the most powerful road-going Aston ever.
The British automaker is putting an end to its pure combustion engine-powered cars to conform with the industry’s shift to electrification. Models such as the limited series Valkyrie and the upcoming Valhalla reflect the company’s efforts to electrify its lineup.
The most powerful road-going Aston Martin is coming
No specification details have been released as of this writing. But with the power bump, the final edition is expected to improve the standard DBS’ 3.4-sec zero to 100 km/h acceleration time, as well as the 340 km/h rated top speed. To complement the performance boost, enhancements on the steering are expected, as well as on the suspension to help put the power down on the road better.
From the few teaser photos made available, the DBS 770 Ultimate should look similar to the standard model. Features such as the headlight design, quad exhaust setup, and air cooling ducts should remain in the final edition. But the model could feature a different wheel design to set it apart from the rest of the range.
It is said to come with an exquisite design
This is not the first time that the Aston Martin DBS got its V12 engine tuned to 759 horsepower. Last 2019, the automaker launched the 759-hp DBS GT Zagato in celebration of Zagato’s 100th anniversary, limited to 19 units.
Aston Martin said that the DBS 770 Ultimate will be launched in early 2023, and the production will be limited to 499 units only.
The ultimate finale to a bloodline
Now that Aston Martin has revitalized its presence in the country through distributor DBPhils Motorsports, Inc., we can only hope that some units will land on Philippine shores.
