Two staples of British automotive engineering are set to make their presence felt on Philippine roads as DBPhils Motorsports Inc. is bringing new and updated Aston Martin and McLaren models.
World's most powerful SUV, the DBX 707
DBPhils Motorsports Inc. is the official importer and distributor of the Aston Martin and McLaren vehicles in the country. The former should cater to those who are in the market for a luxury vehicle, while the latter should deliver high-performance sports cars.
The local lineup of Aston Martin will be completed by the DBS Superleggera, DBX, DBX 707, DB11 AMR, and Vantage including its F1 Edition. It will also be joined by the Valkyrie, a hybrid sports car that is limited to 150 units only. But only one unit has been allotted to the Philippine market, and Aston Martin said that it is already sold.
The Valhalla is Aston Martin's answer to the growing EV market
Both the DBX 707 and Vantage F1 Edition are confirmed to arrive on our shores sometime this year. In the second half of next year, the company is looking to introduce the Valhalla to Filipino consumers. The Aston Martin Valhalla is a mid-engine, plug-in hybrid sports car capable of unleashing 937 horsepower.
On the other hand, McLaren’s local business expansion will be spearheaded by the Artura, 720S, 765LT, and GT. The McLaren 720S is a V8-powered sports car that succeeded the 650S last 2017, while the 765LT (Longtail) is the more track-focused version built with improved performance and lighter chassis. To note, only 765 units of the sportier version were produced.

The other two models are firsts for the brand, with the GT being its first-ever grand tourer. This means that the model is capable of offering more interior space while retaining high-performance sports car characteristics. As for the Artura, it is McLaren’s first series-production hybrid car but the second to use an electric motor after the limited-series P1.

Aston Martin Vantage Launch
The Aston Martin Vantage was launched in November 2017. A year later, it was made available worldwide. In other parts of the world, the premium British carmaker offers the race track-oriented Aston Martin Vantage AMR fitted with a seven-speed Graziano Trasmissioni manual transmission.
Locally, the Aston Martin Vantage was introduced in November 2018. A grand launch was held at Okada Manila in Paranaque City to celebrate its official arrival.
In February 2020, the legendary car manufacturer unveiled the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster built with the fastest automatic convertible system.

The exterior of the Aston Martin Vantage measures 4,465mm long, 2,153mm wide, and 1,273mm tall with a 2,703mm wheelbase. Its aluminum body flaunts a streamlined and athletic silhouette with a lengthened clamshell bonnet. The Aston Martin Vantage is a rear-wheel-drive vehicle with a front mid-mounted engine.
Engine options include 4.7-liter, 4.8-liter, and 6.0-liter mated to a seven-speed Sportshift II automatic transmission. The V8 version emits 430 horsepower with 490 Newton meters while the V12 version generates a horsepower of 565 with 620 Newton meters.
