This all-out track machine will be limited to 40 units only.

Aston Martin unveiled the all-new Valkyrie AMR Pro. It is the successor to the canceled version that bore the same name. Then again, it is still based on the Astron-Red Bull Racing hypercar that was designed to dominate the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit.

Unlike the regular Valkyrie though, the AMR Pro variant is not a hybrid, is not road legal, and is an all-out track machine. It is still built by the British marque together with Red Bull Advanced Technologies (RBAT), and the Multimatic engineering and motorsports company.

So just how track-oriented is the new Valkyrie AMR Pro? Well for starters, it bears a full-cowl aero kit that’s commonly seen on purpose-built race cars. It bears a carbon fiber huge rear wing, an equally huge carbon fiber front splitter, thus resulting in twice the amount of downforce compared to the road-legal car.

Other than that, the pictures show that it also has wider front and rear track widths, and almost no ground clearance at all. Regarding its design, it looks like a proper Le Mans car, one can say that it definitely looks stunning.

As mentioned, the track-only version of the Valkyrie has ditched the hybrid system that the road-legal version uses. Instead, it uses a naturally-aspirated Cosworth V12 engine capable of making 1,160 horsepower. Paired with the aforementioned aero kit, carbon fiber pieces, and its carbon suspension wishbone suspension system, the Valkyrie AMR Pro can achieve a 3:20 lap time on the Le Mans circuit. Of note, the current lap record at Le Mans sits at 3:17 and it was achieved by Toyota Gazoo Racing’s LMP1 (Le Mans Prototype) race car.

While the Valkyrie AMR Pro bears racing chops and stunning good looks, the barrier to entry for this car model is a bit stiff. That’s because only 40 units will be built, and reports are suggesting that its price tag will sit somewhere around USD 3.5 million (Php 170 million). Then again, that price affords you a kick-ass track car, plus the right to join Astron Martin track days, an FIA exclusive race gear kit, and instruction from the Aston Martin Valkyrie instructor team.
