The all-new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek is now available for reservation at the car brand’s dealerships nationwide. It will be making its official Philippine debut on July 19 with two variants on offer that come with a starting price of Php 1,998,000.
The Crosstrek, a model name used in Japan, the United States, and Canada, replaces the XV. It is essentially the third-generation iteration of the XV, but Subaru decided to streamline its global model name, which led to using the Crosstrek instead of XV.
The all-new Crosstrek comes with an improved version of the Subaru Global Platform that uses full inner-frame construction and increased rigidity in suspension links, among others. Subaru Philippines said that the Crosstrek is the “perfect starter-Subaru for trendsetting Millennials and Gen Zs” due to the vehicle’s overall styling and safety package.
The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek has a bold and aggressive exterior demeanor, which has been the case even in the previous generation model. Dimensions-wise, the all-new model gets an increase of 15mm in terms of length, and it sits lower by 35mm than the outgoing version.
Subaru PH said that the Crosstrek will be offered with several color choices, including three brand new colors: Oasis Blue, Offshore Blue Metallic, and Sun Blaze Pearl.
Inside, it has a clutter-free dashboard layout with minimal buttons as almost all vehicle functions can be accessed through the large vertical touchscreen. The said touchscreen has a similar treatment to what you can see on the WRX Sedan, WRX Wagon, and Outback, among others.
The car brand added that the all-new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek comes with new ergonomic front seats that are designed to provide “supreme support and maximum comfort.”
But, probably one of the most notable features that the all-new Crosstrek has is the car brand’s EyeSight 4.0 driver assist technology which comes with three cameras, including a wide-angle monocular camera. This is said to provide better detection of pedestrians and bicycles at low speeds, which adds to the overall safety when you’re out on the road.
Subaru PH has yet to release in detail the full specs of the 2023 Crosstrek. But it has now announced the pricing of the said vehicle, which is available in two variants.
- Crosstrek 2.0 iL EyeSight: Php 1,998,000
- Crosstrek 2.0 iS EyeSight: Php 2,018,000
