A new version of the Toyota Alphard might be just around the corner. This was hinted at by several leaked pictures from Instagram and from a picture of a Japanese news tabloid.
The leaked images of the alleged new Alphard are a bit blurry, which is expected. But then again, it is quite clear to see that it gets a massive grille that envelops most of its front fascia.
Note that the currently available Alphard already has an eye-catching grille gracing its front end. This grille on the leaked images, however, appears larger. The design also appears to bear a hidden LED headlamps or daytime running lamp design that’s integrated into the grille.
As hinted in the pictures, the same treatment will also be given to the narrower and more compact Vellfire for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM). This one comes with a slightly different grille pattern that is still as hefty as the one on the leaked Alphard.
The side of the leaked Alphard photos also shows some slight design alterations, the most obvious of which is the straighter window line. Specifically, it will lose the fin-like protrusion on the B-pillar. It will then use a new set of wheels as well.
The leaked photos also show that the rear of the new Alphard might be getting plenty of revisions as well. For starters, it might come with a pair of more intricate-looking LED taillights, and black-colored decorative trim pieces for the plate holder and nameplate.

For now, not much is known about the new Toyota Alphard’s interior. No features list was provided, but the tabloid did show that might retain the same seating arrangement with captain seats for its second row.
Other than that, no further information regarding specifications was provided by the leaks. But a good question to ask now about this Alphard version is whether it will use a new platform, a new engine, or both.
Do remember also that one should take leak images with a healthy dose of skepticism. So until then, stay here on Philkotse for more updates on this supposed upcoming version of the Alphard.
