This is based on the Stinger’s GT specification with a limited run of 1,000 units.

The days of Kia’s Stinger midsize liftback may be numbered, but the South Korean automaker is throwing one last hurrah with the 2023 Stinger Tribute Edition. This limited-edition trim level celebrates the role that the model played since its debut in 2017.

Kia presents the final chapter in the Stinger's history with the limited-release Tribute Edition

“The Stinger Tribute Edition denotes an important chapter in the story of Kia’s high-performance ethos,” said Chang Sung Ryu, Senior Vice President and head of Purchase CX Design Sub-division. “Featuring an exclusive color and interior trim never before seen on the sedan, it also serves as a fitting celebration of the Stinger’s contribution to the Kia brand.”

Kia calls it the ultimate embodiment of the high-performance sedan, featuring a new Moonscape matte gray exterior color to go with the existing Ascot Green finish. Cosmetic enhancements on the Stinger Tribute Edition include black trim on the exterior mirrors, Brembo brake calipers, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The interior combines carbon-finish trim with brown Terracotta upholstery

Going to the cabin, users are greeted by the Stinger’s spacious and tech-laden interior. The front sport seats are dressed in Terracotta brown leather complete with a wasp-shaped logo on the headrests, accompanied by a faux carbon finish on the door panels and center console.

Adding to the exclusivity of the Stinger Tribute Edition is a numbered plate on the door sill, reminding customers that their purchase is just one of 1,000 units available worldwide.

A 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 lies under the hood

As the Tribute Edition is based on the Stinger’s GT specification, it will be powered by the same 3.3-liter Lambda II V6 twin-turbo engine with direct injection technology, rated at 365 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque.

The Stinger’s departure closes a chapter in Kia’s history, but the automaker is not necessarily leaving its performance aspirations behind. “As we enter a new age of mobility, Kia will satisfy the needs of customers who enjoy elevated levels of dynamic driving pleasure through high-performance electrified models such as the EV6 GT,” Chang added.
